Leamington planning roundup: Lighting at Rugby club, Lidl looming and Mexican eatery shopfront changes

Here are the biggest local planning stories from the past week.
Lighting at Rugby Club
Plans for the installation of six high lighting posts at Leamington Rugby Club have been approved.
The plans also include six new luminaires, which will help provide "adequate" lighting to the second pitch of the Rugby Club, located at Moorfields on Leamington Road.
The lightning posts will be 15m high.
Currently, the site ix established as community Rugby Sports club and has been from the early 20th century.
New shop sign for Mexican eatery
Plans have been submitted to update the shop sign at a Mexican eatery on Bedford Street in Leamington.
The plans request permission to change the current signage at Sombrero Mexican Food, a Grade II listed building within the town's conservation area.
The proposal seeks approval for a new painted timber fascia with individually illuminated letters, along with a traditional projecting hanging sign.
Lidl Moves Forward
Lidl has been given the green light to demolish a former factory to make way for a new store between Warwick and Leamington Spa.
Warwick District Council has granted prior approval for Europa House on Heathcote Lane to be demolished to make way fort the new shop.
The discount retailer first revealed its plans last year, and is still waiting for the council to sign off on its full planning application for the new development.
