Plans have been submitted to update the shop sign at a Mexican eatery on Bedford Street in Leamington.

The plans request permission to change the current signage at Sombrero Mexican Food, a Grade II listed building within the town's conservation area.

The proposal seeks approval for a new painted timber fascia with individually illuminated letters, along with a traditional projecting hanging sign.

The design avoids large illuminated panels or digital displays, instead using low-intensity lighting to maintain the building's historic character.

According to the Heritage Statement, the changes would result in only minimal visual impact: "The signage is appropriately scaled, traditionally detailed and preserves the character of the conservation area."
