It's not long before a wave of light and colour arrives in Leamington this Diwali.

This year's Diwali Lights Switch-on will take place on 1 November from 5pm to 8pm on Parade.

Members of the Indian community will come together with people of all faiths in a harmonious celebration of unity and cultural diversity to mark the start of the Diwali festivities.

Diwali symbolises the spiritual victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance, and is observed all over the world by the Indian diaspora.

The event will feature a celebration of Indian heritage and culture, with an energetic Dhol Tasha performance and Bollywood songs and dance.

The Diwali lights will be switched on at around 7 pm by Cllr Naveen Tangri and Cllr Hema Yellapragada, along with other community representatives.
