Warwickshire Wildlife Trust unveils names for Leamington’s peregrine falcons

Warwickshire Wildlife Trust has announced that Leamington's peregrine falcons have been named.
The birds are currently at Leamington Spa's historic Town Hall, whose nest box is provided in partnership with Warwick District Council.
Recently, individuals were invited to name the falcon chicks which hatched in April this year.
Over 900 people voted, with Tolkien's tales of Middle-earth emerging as a clear favourite.
The birds have now been named Frodo, Merry, Pippin, and Sam, submitted by Charmain and Natasha.
Charmain said, "The Lord of the Rings is a British classic, and these four little ones will soon wander.
"We think they're a perfect choice!"
The second most popular name choices were Mike, Alfa, Echo and Lima.
There is currently a live feed of the Peregrine Falcon nest in Leamington.
Two webcams are live 24/7 during the breeding season, enabling you to see all the activity from Leamington's pair of peregrine falcons, from laying to fledging.
The webcams can be viewed here.
