Teen sentenced to over two years for drug possession in Leamington

A teenager has been sentenced to more than two years in a Young Offenders' Institution following his admission of possessing and intending to supply crack cocaine and heroin in Leamington.
In February, officers from the Warwickshire Police Serious Organised Crime team observed George Clack, from Coventry, engaging in a suspected drug transaction in Leamington town centre.
As officers attempted to apprehend him, the 19-year-old fled and dropped an object into the nearby River Leam.
The package was recovered and contained 105 individual wraps of heroin and crack cocaine. Upon searching Clack, officers found further wraps of crack cocaine and heroin, in addition to a substantial amount of cash.
Detective Constable Kyle Feeley, the investigating office said: "As Clack now has time to reflect on his actions, I hope he takes the opportunity to turn his life around while he's still young.
"Above all, I hope his sentence goes some way to reassure the public we will proactively target those we believe to be involved in drugs, use our powers to disrupt any activity and bring offenders to justice wherever we can."

Clack was charged with possession with intent to supply controlled class A drugs (cocaine and heroin).
He pled guilty to both charges at an earlier hearing.
On Thursday (28 August) he received a sentence of 27 months in a Young Offenders' Institution.
Clack was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £228, and more than £250 in cash was confiscated from him.
