Step forward for huge park and ride between Warwick and Leamington

Plans to create a major new park and ride between Warwick and Leamington have taken a step forward with council planners signing off on the designs.
The facility had been approved in a major application for 900 new homes, a primary school, local centre and open space, which was called in by the secretary of state and signed off in 2016.
Now developers Taylor Wimpey (Midlands) Ltd and Bloor Homes have seen their designs for the park and ride around Banbury Road and Europa Way approved.
Plans show the site will have a bus lane with space for four buses to stop, and 443 car parking spaces - 21 of which will be disabled, 20 for motorcycles and 50 for EV charging.
The site - called 'The Asps Park and Ride' - will also have bike racks, a waiting area, four unisex toilets and landscaping around the site.
Access to the park and ride will come off Banbury Road.
Council planners also recently signed off on the designs for the remaining 245 homes at The Asps.
The month before, Taylor Wimpey was given approval for its detailed plans for 179 more homes on the site.
