Leamington Spa has been named as the sixth-best place to live in Warwickshire.

The ranking, released by online lifestyle guide Muddy Stilettos, places Shipston-on-Stour as the best place to live in the county.

Leamington beat district neighbours Kenilworth (sixth) and Warwick (seventh).

Of Leamington, the guide said: "Billed as one of Warwickshire's buzzier little towns, Leamington offers the perfect blend of period charm and modern convenience.

"The compact town boasts an abundance of history, grand Regency architecture, excellent transport links, and more balmy parks than you could shake a stick at – all running alongside the River Leam.

"The Parade's a standout with plenty of laid-back coffee shops, eateries, cocktail bars, and independent shops – proving to be a popular hangout spot for families and Warwick University students alike."
