New pizzeria in Leamington granted green light
By Nadia Sayed 6th May 2026
Plans for a new pizzeria restaurant and takeaway in Leamington have been approved, despite having received several objections.
The plans, submitted by Crustworthy Pizza, regard Unit 19, at Victoria Business Centre on Neilston Street, which is currently being used for storage.
The planning application stated the pizzeria aimed to offer a community-focused atmosphere, accommodating up to 25 customers.
Permission has now been granted for developers to install an extractor fan to the rear of the site.
Prior to being approved, several objections were made, with issues including the noise impacts, particularly outdoor areas, collective impact of development within the arches, proximity to railway and environmental safety of the site (air quality), parking, servicing and highway safety, loss of employment use, all being cited as potential issues.
However, there were also support comments, including one made on the grounds of regeneration of the area.

Key community groups, including Royal Leamington Spa Town Council, Network Rail and WCC Ecology also all made no objections to the plans.
Environmental Health had no objection, but noted this would be subject to the applicant meeting the proposed conditions.
In the decision letter, the council approved the plans concluding: "The proposal is acceptable in principle as a main town centre use on a site within the town centre.
"The proposal is considered to have an acceptable impact on neighbouring amenity, subject to compliance with specific conditions.
"Therefore, it is recommended that planning permission is granted."
