Meet the candidates: Leamington Milverton

This week, Leamington locals will head to the polls to vote in their new councillors for Warwickshire County Council.
All 57 wards at the local authority are up for grabs, with voting opening on Thursday 1 May.
Results will then be announced on Friday 2 May, including all Leamington Spa wards.
We have asked each candidate why locals should trust them with their vote.
This is what the candidates for Leamington Milverton said:
Ross Garner - Reform UK
Ross Garner, the Reform UK candidate for Leamington Milverton in the Warwickshire County elections on 1 May 2025, is a long-standing Warwickshire resident.
Deeply committed to his community, he is concerned about self-interest and incompetence in government.
Driven to challenge this, Garner seeks to represent Leamington Milverton, ensuring residents' priorities are heard.
His pledges include increasing community policing, fixing potholes and improving roads, reducing council tax, and conducting a full audit of the council's spending over the past five years.

Hayley Key - Conservative
I grew up in Milverton and have chosen to make it my home, now raising my own young family here.
I own and run an independent retail business in Milverton so I know first-hand what our local business are going through.
Having previously been elected a local councilor, I understand the commitment it takes, and the experience needed to be effective.
Jennifer McAllister - Liberal Democrats
Jennifer has lived in Leamington in the Milverton area for 24 years.
Her two children attended local schools, including North Leamington School.
Jennifer feels strongly about the big issues facing our community like the poor state of the roads, the provision of adult social care, SEND and children's services, and the protection of our green spaces.
Jennifer also wants to keep pushing for the smaller things to be fixed such as potholes and blocked drains, as these things matter too.
Jennifer wants Milverton to continue to have a strong voice on the county council and for resident's views to carry on being well represented.

Christopher Tagg - Green
I'm standing because I want a strong Green voice for our area.
Existing Green councillors across Warwick district have worked hard for their area and successfully challenged the county council.
In the last six months alone they've stopped the Conservatives cutting youth clubs and library opening hours.
Working with others, they've also increased fly-tipping enforcement and collection, added more funds to tackle antisocial behaviour and introduced soft plastics recycling.
Join so many people who are turning away from Labour and Conservative and looking for a positive option who will stand up for our area. Please vote Green on May 1.

Ruby Turok-Squire - Labour
With a legal background and a passion for human rights, I love to advocate for children and young people, whether through campaigning for 'Save the Children' and 'Action for Child Trauma International', or teaching children with special needs in Coventry.
I am proud to be carrying on my family's commitment to democracy and equality, values passed on to me from grandparents who fought apartheid and were MPs in Mandela's government.
I am keen to find solutions that will endure, empower and make our community stronger.
I will prioritise the arts and environmental projects and will tackle air quality, population density, street cleanliness and noise.
