A man suspected of multiple burglaries, including at Leamington restaurants and cafes, has been arrested by officers from Leamington Serious Organised Crime CID.

The man - who has not been named - has reportedly committed a series of offences in the town centre since Friday 4 April.

"These burglaries have caused numerous local retailers to become increasingly concerned so it was imperative that he was identified and arrested swiftly," a force statement said.

"Since his arrest, Leamington Safer Neighbourhood Team and Patrol Investigation Unit have worked collaboratively to seek a charge and remand of the male for court today."

Police did not name which businesses were impacted.
