Locals are being invited to join a Leamington-based charity's Sleep Out to help shine a light on homelessness and housing insecurity in the community.

Helping Hands' Sleep Out will take place on Friday 9 October to Saturday 10 October at All Saints C of E Church.

The Sleepout aims to give participants a small taste of the harsh reality faced by people experiencing homelessness, spending a night without the comfort, security or safety of a home.

The charity shared: "We invite you to step outside your comfort zone, spend a night under the stars and, most importantly, help us shine a light on homelessness and housing insecurity in our community.

"Whether you take part yourself, get a team together, or support someone who is taking part, your involvement can make a real difference.

"Come along, bring your sleeping bag, and help us show that no one should have to face homelessness alone."
