A Leamington woman has been recognised at the Salesforce everywoman in Technology Awards.
Kripa Balachandran, Head of Product at Mission Zero Technologies won the Team Leader Award, sponsored by Haleon.
The Cambridge-trained engineer and climate-tech leader is building real-word solutions to the crisis of the climate.
She led a diverse, cross-functional team to deliver three first-of-a-kind Direct Air Capture systems internationally.
Her work to ensure that parents and international hires thrive in an early-stage start-up environment has become a model for other UK Climate-tech firms.
She prides herself on empathetic leadership as she was often the only woman or person of colour in the room and proves that empowered teams build the best technology through her knowledge of psychological safety and her execution under pressure.
Zahra Bahrololoumi CBE, CEO, Salesforce UK & Ireland, said: "As AI increasingly powers high-stakes decisions, from loan approvals to hiring, it is essential that more women enter and advance in the technology industry to prevent perpetuating societal biases.
"Elevating the profile of women in the industry is more important than ever to highlight their essential work and encourage interest in STEM careers. We cannot be what we cannot see, which is why Salesforce is proud to sponsor and celebrate the everywoman in Technology Awards."
The Ceremony at the Westminster Park Plaza Hotel marked the 16th year of this landmark programme, as the awards aim to inspire the next generation of female talent to pursue careers in tech by acknowledging inspirational women at all stages of their careers, such as those taking their first steps in apprenticeships all the way through to innovative leaders running their own businesses.
