A local artist-led organisation dedicated to making the arts accessible in Warwickshire has been awarded £23,500 Project Grant from the Arts Council.

Lighthaus Art is preparing to make The Stoneleigh Arms its new home, with additional support from Leamington Town Council Grants and Warwickshire County Councillor Grants enabling it to now deliver its first major programme Grounding – Community | Collaboration/ Creativity starting in February 2026.

Working alongside its charitable partners, it will bring free workshops to South Leamington, while also supporting emerging artists and collaborating with professional artists throughout the programme.

Cassie Leedham, Co-Director of Lighthaus Arts, said: "Collecting the keys today marks a huge milestone, not just for us, but for the creative community in Leamington. The Stoneleigh Arms will be a place where  anyone can walk in, feel welcome, get involved and create something.

"Accessibility is at the heart of everything we do; we believe art is for everyone, regardless of background, experience or confidence. This building is the  beginning of a truly inclusive creative home for our community."

This will culminate in a vibrant public exhibition later in the year, showcasing work from across the community and creative sector.

Maddie Webb, Co-Director of Lighthaus Arts, added: "We're thrilled to be launching our Arts Council England-funded project Grounding: Community | Collaboration | Creativity in February 2026. This programme will bring together local residents, our charity partners, emerging  and established local artists to co-create, learn and build meaningful  connections.

"Having The Stoneleigh Arms as our base means we can deliver this  work in a space shaped by and for the community. We can't wait to get started."
