Royal Leamington Spa Town Council has allocated all of its Climate Change Grant funding up to the end of March 2026.
Funding has been awarded to local projects aimed at tackling climate change and promoting sustainability. In total, more than £27,000 has been awarded to community organisations across the town.
The Climate Change Grant is a relatively new initiative, launched last year, and has already gained strong interest from the community. The Town Council is pleased that funding will support meaningful and beneficial activities within the town.
The next round of funding will open in April 2026 and will be available to not-for-profit community groups based in Leamington Spa, supporting initiatives focused on but not limited to reducing carbon emissions and promoting sustainable practices.
The Mayor of Leamington, Cllr Ruggy Singh, said, "It is fantastic that the Town Council's Climate Change Grants have been so well received.
"With all funding now allocated, the grants can support projects that are making a real difference –such as the Leamington Eco Hub, which has secured a new space and has upcoming drop-in sessions to expand community involvement; the Cycle Infinity CIC, which offers workshops and skills courses encouraging more people to cycle; and ARC CIC's forest school sessions that help children learn about woodland maintenance and climate stability.
"We look forward to welcoming new applications when funding reopens in April. It's great to see local group making an impact that will benefit Leamington both now and in the future."

- CLEAN - Lillington Library Garden: to create a community-led Garden Library of Biodiversity in the green space outside Lillington Library.

Each April, a launch event will take place, including the plant seeding in the polytunnels loaned by Coventry University's Centre for Agroecology and Water Resilience and Five Acre Farm, located at Ryton organics.
- Cycle Infinity CIC (Community Interest Company) – to deliver a range of activities intended to encourage people to take up cycling / cycle more, including:
- Creation of a Bicycle bus in Leamington Spa
- Dr Bike Day – offering maintenance
- Maintenance skills workshop

Cycle Infinity CIC (Community Interest Company) stated: "Thanks to the Climate Change Grant from Royal Leamington Spa Town Council, Cycle Infinity CIC can now help people learn to ride, boost their confidence, and improve their cycling skills - making it easier to choose bikes for shorter trips instead of driving or taking public transport. We'll also teach useful maintenance skills so people can stay independent and keep their bikes in great shape for longer. We'll be running guided rides, giving people the chance to explore the local area by bike in a safe and friendly setting.
"Once they've gained experience, participants will have the know-how to make those trips again and again. Huge thanks to RLSTC for making it possible to inspire real change that benefits the environment."
