Leamington store celebrates successful first year with customers

The Leamington branch of independent retailer Goddards has recently celebrated its first anniversary.
To mark the occasion, the store held a special celebration over the weekend of Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 July, offering guests a glass of fizz and awarding three lucky customers a generous £50 voucher each.
Located in the upper mall of Royal Priors Shopping Centre, the store first opened its doors in July last year.
Since then, it has welcomed a wide range of customers, drawn in by its spacious layout, unique design, and diverse product offering.
Speaking to Nub News, store manager Richie Holloway reflected on the anniversary: "It was a really good day.
"What was especially nice was that many people came in asking if we had just opened, so they discovered the store for the first time through the celebration.
"It's great to meet new customers all the time.
"One man from Coventry came and said he hadn't visited Leamington for ten years, but had now found the store which was brilliant."
Reflecting on the past year, Richie said that customer feedback has been very positive.

"People have been lovely, and we've had really nice customers.
"What surprised us is that around 90 percent of people are happy to sign up for emails and promotions, which shows how much they value what we offer."
Customer loyalty is also strong, with many regulars visiting weekly and building relationships with the store's team.
Its central location and position on the upper level of the shopping centre also contribute to its accessibility and popularity.
Richie noted that each Goddards store has its own individual look, often featuring quirky and eye-catching items.
"One store has a big giraffe in it," he said.
"Each of the nine Goddards locations has its own personality, which means customers never quite know what to expect, which makes it a more enjoyable experience."
The Leamington shop stocks a carefully curated range of men's and women's clothing, from higher-end brands such as Ralph Lauren, Hugo Boss, Fred Perry, and French Connection, to more mid-priced items.

Richie explained: "We have identified a gap in the market by mixing premium labels with more accessible, mid-prices pieces.
"Some brands are well-known, but we also stock items that are more affordable.
"Women's fashion in particular has done well because customers are often pleasantly surprised by the prices.
"You might come in and find a luxury item, or a lovely top for £30.
"We also change the displays regularly, especially in womenswear, to keep everything fresh."
Beyond clothing, the store also sells a range of homeware, lifestyle items, and gift sets during the festive season. Richie hopes to expand these offerings in future.
The store attracts a broad demographic, with customers ranging in age from 16 to 90.

"That's one of our strengths, we do not appeal to just one type of person," Richie said.
Customer feedback is valued highly, and store staff work closely with the head office to ensure the product mix reflects what local customers want.
"Being in a smaller store means you get to know your customers well.
"We encourage people to try things on and offer an exchange policy if something is not quite right."
Goddards also provides home and in-store delivery options for added convenience.
