A local woman has received a prestigious award for transforming early talent landscape.
Chief Marketing Officer at Police Now, Clare Power from Leamington was named Early Talent Changemaker of the Year by the Institute of Student Employers (ISE).
Clare was presented with the inaugural award at ISE's Student Recruitment Conference Gala Dinner in Brighton last week.
The award category recognises individuals who have made a significant and transformative contribution to early talent though measurable impact, innovation and their ability to inspire others.
Police Now offers the only national graduate entry route into policing and is committed to helping create a police service that is representative of the communities it serves.
Since joining the organisation eight years ago Clare, from Leamington, "has driven change, impact and innovation across both policing and early careers."
The judges recognised her 'innovation in the sector in a highly challenging and structured industry', her 'outstanding leadership' and 'the transformative change she has brought to the early careers landscape'.
Clare, who was shortlisted alongside major employers including Aon, Linklaters and Lloyds Banking Group, said: "Being named the first-ever winner of this award is an incredible honour, particularly because the idea of being a changemaker is so closely aligned with what I, and everyone at Police Now, strive for every day.
"Whether we're supporting people before, during or after their journey on our two-year National Graduate Programme, or working with key stakeholders, everything we do is underpinned by a commitment to creating positive change. That's what motivates us."
She added: "While the award recognises me as an individual, no meaningful change happens in isolation. It is only possible because of the brilliant, tenacious people I've had the privilege to work alongside, both at Police Now and beyond.
"I'm incredibly grateful to everyone who has supported, challenged and inspired me to make a positive difference. I was proud to accept this award, and I hope it encourages us all to keep pushing for positive change for the people and organisations we support."
The ISE is the UK's leading voice for early careers recruitment and development, making the Early Talent Changemaker of the Year award one of the profession's highest individual accolades.
