A local salon is set to begin a new chapter after relocating within Leamington.

Esqué Beauty, an independent beauty and wellbeing salon, celebrated the launch at its new site, alongside its 28th birthday in business yesterday (19 October).

After spending 25 years at its Bedford Street location, the salon has now moved to Warwick Street, a move, its owners say, that will provide better accessibility for its loyal clientele.

Yesterday, special guests, including family and friends, and exclusively invited clients attended a pre-opening event. Attendees were treated to a full look around the new site and were gifted goody bags containing products and vouchers.

Esqué officially opened its doors to the general public today (Tuesday, 20 October).

Founded in 1998 by Amy Selby-Hammond, Esqué began on Regent Grove with two treatment rooms and a nail area. It grew through the loyalty of clients who returned, recommended the team, and made time at Esqué part of their lives.

For many, a visit has marked a celebration, offered a pause in a busy week or simply provided the pleasure of being recognised and thoughtfully looked after.

Amy Selby-Hammond, founder of Esqué Beauty, shared: "Bedford Street will always hold a special place in our hearts. It is where so many relationships began: clients who became friends, conversations that have stayed with us and the everyday kindness that has carried us through the years. I am deeply grateful to everyone who has trusted us. Our new home gives us a beautiful place to continue that care, with the same warmth and personal attention people know us for."

The new Warwick Street premises carry that familiar welcome forward.

A calm, light-rendered frontage, deep dark fascia and softly illuminated Esqué lettering give the salon a quietly contemporary presence, while the experience inside remains grounded in comfort, expertise and time well spent.

Speaking to Nub News, Gurdip Chatha, managing director at Esqué Beauty, and chair of BID Leamington, further shared: "With the new salon, we've been able to become a lot more inclusive and to support a market we've been unable to support as much as we'd like to.

"The second reason is that it's given us a shop frontage, and so we have more visibility than we had on Bedford Street, as we were on the first and second floors."

Appointments remain available through Esqué's usual online and app booking routes, or directly with the salon team (image supplied)

Gurdip went on to highlight some of the main things people can expect from the salon, including a permanent base for its aesthetics team - Tinakble.

"It is also about carrying on the legacy of Esqué," added Gurdip.

The move follows a period of recognition for founder Amy and the Esqué team, including Amy's 2023 West Midlands Beauty Salon Business Owner of the Year award at the Influential Businesswoman Awards and the salon's 2020 West Midlands Beauty Team of the Year title at the English Nails, Brows & Lashes Awards.

In 2026, Esqué was a national finalist for Large Salon of the Year at the Professional Beauty Awards and received an Outstanding Achievement distinction in the Best of Warwickshire category at the English Hair & Beauty Awards Midlands.

"Leamington has given Esqué so much: loyal clients, talented colleagues, generous neighbours and a town centre with real character.

"We wanted to invest in a space that feels worthy of that history while keeping the warmth and familiarity people value. This is our home, and we are proud to be part of the town's future" shared Gurdip.

Appointments remain available through Esqué's usual online and app booking routes, or directly with the salon team.
