Bar Plans

A Japanese-inspired business in Leamington is planning to open a new bar specialising in sake and Japanese culture.

According to plans, the proposed venue, Lucky Shiba, will be located on Neilston Street, with hopes it will become a part of "the area's existing community of independent businesses."

Currently, the site is vacant and was most recently occupied by French & Launders operated by R&S Laundry Services LTD.

Meadery

A new business producing the ancient alcoholic drink mead is hoping to set up shop under railway arches in Leamington Spa.

Colin Paterson has applied to Warwick District Council for planning permission to change the use of a currently-vacant unit at Victoria Business Centre, Neilston Street, Leamington, into a meadery, education facility, community meeting space and ancillary bar.

It is proposed to feature a brewing and demonstration area, cool room, retail space, toilets and customer areas inside and outside the unit.

Wetherspoon Works

Asbestos is to be removed from the roof as part of a makeover at Leamington Spa's Wetherspoon pub.

Listed building permission has been granted for a range of works at The Benjamin Satchwell.

Warwick District Council (WDC) has signed off on a variety of changes at the Parade pub, including repairs to the roof, removing "existing asbestos," new acoustic fencing and improvements to the bar area and kitchen.
