Multiple roads set to have new 20mph speed limit
By James Smith 28th Aug 2026
Eighteen roads in Sydenham are set to have new 20mph speed limits enforced.
The roads around St Fremund Way will have the reduced limit in place from September 1.
Warwickshire County Council said the change has the support of Warwickshire Police, local councillor Will Roberts and the road safety team.
Speed surveys have been carried out in the area.
"The reduced speed limit will help to improve the environment for vulnerable road users, such as wheelchair users, pedestrians and pedal cyclists," the council said.
"Motorists will be travelling at a slower speed, reducing noise and vibration, and this will give a reduction in vehicle emissions.
"The scheme will involve the use of speed reducing traffic signs and road markings throughout, with gateway signage at the entry point to the estate where possible."
