A Leamington man has been banned from seven retailers across the county after being caught shoplifting in the town.

Wayne Harvey, aged 39, appeared before Magistrates in Leamington on 21 October after being caught with £50 of stolen chicken in July.

He was handed a five-year order, starting from 21 October, banning him from all branches of the following stores:

  • B&M Bargains
  • Sainsburys
  • Boots
  • Aldi
  • Co-op
  • Savers UK
  • Marks and Spencer

If Harvey breaches the order, he will be arrested.

PC Tom Shorthouse of the Business Crime Team shared: "We welcome this CBO, which at five years is the maximum the court can issue.

"These orders are a powerful tool for protecting businesses and our communities from repeat criminality.

"Shoplifting is repeatedly raised by residents across the county as a key concern and we're going to carry on taking action on their behalf."
