By Nadia Sayed 21st Apr 2026
Earlier this April, a well-loved cafe in Leamington announced it would be closing at the end of the month.
Lola cafe, which is now located on Regent Street, after moving from its initial spot on Augusta Place last year (2025), will officially close on 24 April 2026.
Wine tastings will also be cancelled, with refunds or alternative options offered in the upcoming weeks to customers via email.
In an emotional video shared last week, Katie Jenson who owns the cafe with her partner James, shared the reasons for the closure.

Prefacing the video, Katie said: "'I'm going to try and get through this video without crying to have to forgive me if I do.
"Despite our best efforts and best intentions. Lola will be closing at the end of April..."
She went onto state that the cafe has become no longer viable for the her family, despite their best efforts to keep things going.
"We really tried to make this work, and we have loved having you coming through our doors, it is no longer viable for us and our family, and I have to draw a line somewhere" added Katie.

In the same video, shared on Facebook, Katie highlighted that the cafe will be available for somebody looking for a turn key business.
Everything in the building except the coffee machine and the coffee equipment will also be available in a very small sale.
She expressed: "This is for somebody who is ready and wants to start trading in the next couple of months. We have a wonderful premises. We have a wonderful landlord, and it could be a really brilliant business for someone who has the time to put it in."
Lola will remain open as usual this week, while the business begins the process of being sold.
The team shared on Instagram: "Thank you for all the love and support this week, we hope to see you for our last week."
