A Keralan-inspired restaurant in Leamington has been recognised as one of the country's 'Best South Indian restaurant.'

Kayal, which has a branch on Regent Street in the town, alongside several others across the UK, was crowned with the title at the English Curry Awards 2026.

Now in its 15th year, the awards shine a spotlight on some of the country's top curry businesses.

Chefs, restaurants and takeaways from across the country battle it out for regional titles, before one winner is crowned the nation's curry champion.

This year, Kayal was one of them.

In response to the award, the Kayal team shared they were "incredibly proud" to have received the award.

They shared: "A huge thank you to everyone who has supported us, dined with us and shown Kayal so much love over the years.
