A Section 35 notice has been served by police following multiple reports of anti-social and criminal activity in Leamington.
According to police, "thefts from local shops", "objects thrown in the street" and "anti-social behaviour affecting businesses and members of the public" were all reported over the past 24 hours in Leamington. These reports mainlu regarded the Parade area of town.
As such, a Section 35 Dispersal Notice has been authorised for Leamington town centre as of 5.30pm yesterday evening (11 August).
The notice will run until 5.29pm on Thursday (13 August).
Officers will be out and about on high-visibility patrols and can use dispersal powers if needed to prevent any further trouble.
Anyone told to leave the area must do so. If individuals refuse to leave the area, they may be arrested and have to face a court date.
Leamington Police shared: "We are working closely with local businesses and partners to ensure the town centre remains a safe and welcoming place for everyone."
