By Nadia Sayed 2nd Feb 2026
HS2 works planned for B4453 Rugby Road in Cubbington, will now begin later than scheduled.
Despite previously being scheduled for 2 February, the works will now begin on 16 February.
They will be split into two phases.
During phase one, a new access will be built for a local business. During phase two, utility connections for BT and Severn Trent Water will be completed.
Phase one will take place from Monday 2 February to Saturday 21 February 2026 and will require a full road closure while a new access is constructed for a local business.
This will be followed by another road closure on Monday 9 March to the evening of Sunday 22 March.

During this phase, temporary traffic lights will be in operation overnight and at weekends to allow utility connection works for BT and Severn Trent Water to be completed.
Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained throughout the works, and a fully signed diversion route will be in place for drivers.
