A new social and wellness studio in Leamington is bringing community, conversation and connection to the town.

Local couple Jess and Mark Griffin launched Sculpt back in September, offering a unique fitness space to the town.

In just their second month of business, the couple welcomed hundreds of visitors and now nearly 200 members.

At the heart of Sculpt, is its community focus.

Mark explained: "We wanted to add value and give back - a members club offering has that kind of community and social aspect.

"Sculpt isn't just about Reformer as a form of exercise, its about human connection through movement - one thing Jess and I are good at is connecting people together.

"For example last week, four girls were sat on their phones not talking - I introduced them to each other and helped find that common ground - the next week they came in together after being out for dinner the night before - its really nice to see these connections being formed."

Something for everyone

When it comes to classes, Sculpt offers something for everyone, from beginner and mixed-level sessions to dynamic reformer pilates classes.

The studio also runs dedicated pre and post-natal reformer pilates classes, open to expectant mums from 12 weeks of pregnancy right up to their due date, and from six weeks after birth, or eight weeks following a C-section.

All instructors are fully trained in pre and post-natal exercise, ensuring sessions are safe, supportive and tailored to each stage of pregnancy and recovery.

As new parents themselves, Jess and Mark are bringing their own experience of parenthood to the studio.

They've created a welcoming space where parents can bring their babies along to class, with little ones looked after while mum or dad gets their workout in.

Sculpt also offers Reformer 55, which are classes for people aged 55 and above to reflect the club's broader customer focus and ensure everyone feels comfortable attending.

For runners, Sculpt hosts a weekly run club every Thursday evening.

More information about Sculpt's run club can be found here.

Sculpt's interior is well thought-out and offers a relaxing setting with minimalist and neutral designs.

Mark explained, even the café crockery has been sourced from independent businesses.

The social space, which is accessible to Sculpt members, offers a unique, calming setting where visitors can relax and enjoy a range of healthy drinks from the coffee lounge, including matcha, hojicha, raw cacao, and collagen-infused lattes.

Giving back to the community

In its first month of trading, Sculpt donated its earnings to Breast Cancer UK, a charity close to both Mark and Jess.

The funds were generated entirely from the buys of trial Reformer Pilates classes taken during the clubs opening four weeks of September and October, with every pound donated to support Breast Cancer UK. In total, £5,000 was raised.

Jess said: "This cause is really close to our family's heart, and it feels wonderful to be able to play a small part in making a difference.

"Raising £5,000 purely from trial classes shows how engaged our community already is; not only did they come to enjoy Sculpt and all we have to offer - they made a difference in doing so."

With its focus on connection, wellbeing and local support, Sculpt is fast becoming more than just a fitness studio, it's a new social hub for Leamington, bringing people together one class at a time.
