The local force has waved goodbye to a PCSO who has given nearly 20 years of service.

The Whitnash policing time gave a "fond farewell" to PCSO Steve Sample who is moving to a new role working in the family help team after an "incredible" 18 and a half years - 16 of those dedicated to Whitnash.

"Over the years, he has patrolled the streets, supported the community, and built strong relationships with residents," a force statement said.

"His dedication and commitment have made a lasting impact, and he will be truly missed!"

To mark the occasion, one of the team members, PCSO Croxson, created a "beautiful" hand-drawn masterpiece of the Whitnash sign, "a fitting tribute to his years of service".

"Wishing you all the best in your new role you'll always be part of the team," the statement added.
