Temporary traffic lights will be put in place at the Thickthorn roundabout during the three-week closure of the A46 this month.

HS2 has confirmed lights will be in place at the roundabout with the A452, as well as at the and St John's gyratory in Kenilworth and Blacklow roundabout near Leek Wootton.

The A46 is due to shut between 8pm on Friday 11 April until 6am Thursday 1 May 2025 from the Stivichall Interchange (Coventry) to the Thickthorn Island (A452 for Leamington and Kenilworth) to allow the new HS2 bridge to be installed.

Additional traffic management will also see Dalehouse Lane only open one-way - towards Kenilworth.

Traffic lights will "only be used if necessary" HS2 has said.

Other traffic management will be in place in Stoneleigh.

When the A46 was closed for the first time in February, Kenilworth motorists were left queuing due to the temporary traffic lights at St John's. These were eventually turned off due to the number of problems caused.

More details of the closure can be found here.
