Whitnash has been named one of the best places to live in the country.

Of 1,447 locations profiled by property finder company Garrington, the Warwickshire town came in at number 16 - the highest of anywhere in the Midlands.

The rankings come in Garrington's annual marketing report for England and Wales which ranks cities, towns and villages on measures covering five categories.

These categories are natural environment, wellbeing, heritage/culture, schools, employment and connectivity and house price quality and value.

Garrington also lists the average family home cost and average sales price change across the last 12 months in each settlement.

According to the report, the average house price in Whitnash is £536,692.

In the West Midlands, Kenilworth (56) and Knowle and Dorridge (29) also featured in the upper rankings.
