Warwickshire Police showcase community efforts as policing minister joins Leamington patrol

Warwickshire Police welcomed the Policing Minister, Dame Diana Johnson MP, to Leamington on Thursday (26 June).

During her visit, she joined members of the local Safer Neighbourhood Team on patrol, gaining insights into the initiatives Warwickshire Police are implementing to understand community priorities and ensure public safety.

Chief Inspector Simon Ryan, the local policing commander for South Warwickshire, emphasised the importance of partnership: "We know visible policing and collaboration between police and communities is the best way to cut crime and keep people safe."

He further added, "Over the summer, we're shining a light on our Safer Neighbourhood Teams and helping you get to know who's who in your local policing team and how to get in touch."

Individuals interested in identifying their local policing team, making contact, or learning about ongoing activities in their area can do so by entering their postcodes into the Warwickshire Police website.
