A man sought by Leamington Police, in connection with a sexual assault report in the town, has now come forward and is cooperating with police inquiries.

It follows an appeal for the individual believed to have information regarding the incident, which took place on the afternoon of Saturday 13 December.

A woman was allegedly touched inappropriately in a bar located on Regent Street.

In a statement released yesterday (13 January) police shared an image alongside the statement: "If you are the man in this picture – or if you know who he is – please give us a call on 101, citing crime reference number 23/54757/25."

Police have now confirmed the man has come forward and is helping with their enquiries.

Leamington Police said: "Thank you to everyone who shared an earlier appeal to help us identify a man we wanted to speak to about a sexual assault in Leamington."
