Here are our top picks for this weekend.

1. Leamington Half Marathon

The Leamington Spa Half Marathon will return for its eighth year on Sunday, 15 June 2025.

Organised by Raceways, a successful community interest company, the event has a strong track record of engaging thousands of adults and children through its various sporting initiatives.

Having sold out for the last seven consecutive years, demand for this year's race is expected to be high.

Organisers are encouraging early entries, stating: "Enter today and get Sunday 15th June 2025 in your diary for what is sure to be a great race and a memorable family day out!

"We'll see you there!"

The traffic-free course will start and finish in the heart of Leamington Spa, beside the Royal Pump Room Gardens.

Runners will head north out of the town through scenic Warwickshire villages, passing farmland and countryside, before returning to the town centre for the finish.

A full list of the road closures can be found here.

2. Theatre

Leamington's Loft Theatre is set to bring big laughs to the stage with its latest production, Up 'n' Under.

The first showing of the play was yesterday (Wednesday 11) and it will run until Saturday 21 June (excluding Monday 16).

Performances begin at 7.30 pm, except for Sunday, 11 June, when the show will start at the earlier time of 5.00 pm.

This Olivier Award-winning comedy follows a depleted and ragged amateur rugby league team who are audaciously taking on their arch rivals.

The play follows Arthur, a former professional, who's tasked with training the Wheatsheaf Arms, a team that's never won a game and spends more time in the pub than on the pitch.

Arthur enlists the help of Hazel, a female fitness guru, to turn the team around.

2. Markets

Head to nearby Warwick on Saturday (14 June) for the return of the Warwick Market.

The market will run from 9am to 3pm at Warwick Town Centre, Market Place.

Organiser CJ's Events Warwickshire said: "Step into a world of shopping delight at our vibrant open-air market, where independent shops and cosy cafés surround you!

"This isn't just any ordinary marketplace – it's a fantastic opportunity to explore and discover a world full of variety and value.

"As you stroll through, you'll find an exciting array of stalls, each offering something unique.

"From fresh, seasonal fruits and veggies to beautiful plants and cut flowers – we've got it all!

"Don't miss the mouth-watering aroma of freshly baked goods and the freshest catch of the day at our fish stalls.

"But wait, there's more! Warwick Market is also a treasure trove for unique gifts and gourmet food specialities.

"Let your imagination run wild as you browse endless options, whether you're hunting for the perfect gift or craving something extraordinary to satisfy your taste buds.

"Come feel the magic for yourself – we can't wait to welcome you!"
