Police officers managed several driving-related incidents across Leamington, including a traffic collision on Saturday evening (15 November).
Officers attended a major road traffic accident on Kenilworth Road in Leamington, where a driver had reportedly run a red light and subsequently failed a roadside breathalyzer test.
Although the driver was later found to be under the legal alcohol limit, they will still be reported to court for the offence of driving without due care and attention.
During the officers' handling of the collision, another vehicle attempted to pass the police cordon with a defective light.
Further inspections revealed that the vehicle was in an unsafe condition, leading to its seizure for additional examination by specially trained officers.
Later in the evening, officers provided assistance to traffic colleagues at a second collision in Leamington, which is believed to have been caused by another driver under the influence of alcohol.
According to police, the driver inflicted "significant" damage to both their own vehicle and nearby walls and street furniture.

Both drivers in each incident will be summoned to court.
Police said that the series of incidents underscores the variety of driving-related offenses officers encounter in a single night, particularly during the winter months.
Leamington Police shared: "If you couldn't guess by now this post shows one crews many interactions with driving related offences in just one night, please if you are going to be driving this winter ensure your vehicle is safe to be driven, you are safe to drive, and if you have any concerns about other road users please report them to us.
"We would rather intervene with a driver before they either become a casualty or create casualties."
