Plans revealed for new frozen yoghurt shop in Leamington

Plans for signage for a new frozen yoghurt store have been submitted for approval in Leamington.
The new store, Yo The Go, which specialises in frozen yoghurt, will be located at the former Oxfam store on Regent Street.
Recently submitted planning documents show that the proposals include new vinyl signage applied to the existing shopfront.
According to the heritage impact assessment, Regent Street forms part of Leamington's historic town centre, with buildings dating back to the Regency period.
With this in mind, the plans state the building's heritage significance comes largely from its contribution to the historic streetscape and its relationship with neighbouring buildings. Therefore, "the proposed vinyl graphics will be limited to the shopfront glazing and therefore will not compete with the architectural composition of the upper elevation," according to the planning documents.
Yo The Go is further described as a "new frozen yoghurt business", so the storefront will "require a contemporary visual identity".
Plans further note the proposed signage would have a "negligible" physical impact on the building, as it would not require changes to the upper floors or the removal of historic architectural features.
The vinyl signage would also be removable in the future without permanently altering the building.
