Meet the candidates: Leamington Willes

This week, Leamington Spa locals will head to the polls to vote in their new councillors for Warwickshire County Council.
All 57 wards at the local authority are up for grabs, with voting opening on Thursday 1 May.
Results will then be announced on Friday 2 May, including all Leamington wards.
We have asked each candidate why locals should trust them with their vote.
This is what the candidates for Leamington Willes said:
Krish Bhardwaj - Labour
I was born and raised in the Willes ward on Radford Road.
I have been working for Rangemaster for 30 years where I am a GMB convenor.
With the skills I've learned I will help the residents of Willes by improving road safety, especially in new developments, tackling antisocial behaviour, maintaining parks, trees and bushes, sorting fly tipping, and helping businesses with improving their safety in avoiding burglaries and attacks.
I have been a trustee at the Sydni centre for the last four years - helping in any way I can in opening and closing, health and safety and attending meetings.

Siobhan Gibbs - Reform UK
Siobhan Gibbs, the Reform UK candidate for Leamington Willes and Sydenham in the Warwickshire County elections on 1 May 2025, is a long-time resident and landlady of The Fusilier pub.
Observing Sydenham's community spirit and struggles, her campaign targets the issues that matter most: a greater police presence to deter crime, solutions to anti-social behaviour, action against knife crime, and a comprehensive approach to drug-related offences.
As landlady, she has listened to residents' concerns—parents worried about their children, pensioners feeling unsafe, and shopkeepers facing vandalism.
If elected, Gibbs will fight for results: increased police patrols in vulnerable areas, stronger partnerships between law enforcement and community groups, and initiatives to tackle noise, vandalism, and disorder with support for those at risk.
She will push for education programmes to keep knives off our streets and advocate for prevention, enforcement, and rehabilitation to address drug issues.
Safety isn't a luxury — it's a right.

Jack McCann - Conservatives
I'm Jack McCann, a long-time resident of Leamington Spa - first as a Warwick University student, and now having returned five years ago to enjoy the town I love.
I'm standing for county councillor to deliver strong, effective representation for our community.
I've worked for a major British aerospace manufacturer and now consult for the industry, bringing experience in driving efficiency and delivering value.
I'll work to cut waste in local government, support well-planned housing in the right places, and improve transport links to connect and grow Warwickshire's economy.
I will build a stronger, better-connected community and ensure local voices are truly heard.

Will Roberts - Green
I'm proud to live in and represent South Leamington and have been working hard for the area since 2014.
I have led on increasing fly tipping enforcement, introducing soft plastic recycling, helped introduce Canal Watch and found additional funding to tackle antisocial behaviour and improve our play areas.
Helping people and communities is important to me. I've helped solve hundreds of residents' issues, I'm a trustee at the Sydni Centre and volunteer in the community.
I have a track record and experience to do more for our local area if you choose to elect me again on 1 May.

Paulo Viana - Liberal Democrats
Paulo is originally from Portugal and has made Leamington Spa his family home.
He is standing for election in Willes for the County Council on 1 May.
Paulo is passionate about Liberal Democrat values and recognises the hard work and dedication of its local councillors who have excellent reputations for transparency and getting things done.
His passion and dedication make him a strong candidate to represent Willes.
Paulo is also standing in the by-election for Royal Leamington Spa Town Council on the same day.
