Meet the candidates: Leamington Clarendon

This week, Leamington Spa locals will head to the polls to vote in their new councillors for Warwickshire County Council.
All 57 wards at the local authority are up for grabs, with voting opening on Thursday 1 May.
Results will then be announced on Friday 2 May, including all Leamington wards.
We have asked each candidate why locals should trust them with their vote.
This is what the candidates for Leamington Clarendon said:
Eloise Chilvers - Green
I'm standing because I want a strong Green voice for our area.
Existing Green councillors across Warwick district have worked hard for their area and successfully challenged the county council.
In the last six months alone they've stopped the Conservatives cutting youth clubs and library opening hours.
Working with others, they've also increased fly tipping enforcement and collection, added more funds to tackle antisocial behaviour and introduced soft plastics recycling.
Join so many people who are turning away from Labour and Conservative and looking for a positive option who will stand up for our area. Please vote Green on May 1.

William De Save - Conservative
My name is William, and I am your Conservative Party candidate for Leamington Clarendon in the upcoming county council elections.
I am currently a student at the university and have thoroughly enjoyed living in Leamington for the duration of my studies.
From its magnificent parks to great cafes and pubs, Leamington has it all.
This town has given so much to me, and for that reason, I want to give something back; to be a strong voice helping protect, develop and act to support the residents and businesses of Leamington, a community I am proud to be a member of.
Geoff Diamond - Reform UK
Geoff Diamond, the Reform UK candidate for the Clarendon ward in the Warwickshire County elections on 1 May 2025, is a long-term Leamington Spa resident with a PhD in Physics and international patents.
Running a small business supplying safety-critical products to the aerospace and automotive industries, he boosts the local economy and develops technologies to detoxify agricultural and industrial waste.
His experience managing multinational research consortia and a graduate engineering apprentice programme equips him to deliver results.
Criticising council waste, he pledges smarter spending to fix potholed roads, strengthen social care, and recruit more police officers to protect streets.
Committed to residents' priorities, Geoff Diamond vows to deliver tangible outcomes if elected.

Max Langer - Liberal Democrats
Max lives in Leamington and is standing to be a strong voice for Clarendon.
He grew up near Banbury before attending Bristol University and Sheffield University for his studies.
Following graduation he moved to Leamington to put down roots and to be closer to family.
Max works as a consultant in the public sector, supporting the NHS to tackle the unprecedented demand being felt by all of our health and care workers.
He has expertise in delivering operational improvement in tough situations.
Outside of work, Max is an avid runner, having run marathons for a variety of charities, including Refuge, Action Against Hunger and the Meningitis Research Foundation.

Alex Mackay - Freedom Alliance - Real People, Real Alternative
I stand for freedom.
I will listen to my constituents' concerns and seek greater autonomy for Warwickshire.
I will campaign
- To revive Leamington shopping, e.g. reduce business rates, establish 30 minutes free parking, and repair the roads and pavements;
- For social services to be even more supportive of families with their care needs;
- For health workers to be free to give their honest advice;
- To reduce government control of the school curriculum;
- To protect agricultural land in Warwickshire for food production;
- To keep Warwickshire skies free from geo-engineering.

Sarah Millar - Labour
I'm the current county councillor for Leamington Clarendon, living in the town for eight years with my family.
I work in climate change, have run my own business, and worked in Brussels protecting British interests.
I've supported residents with issues like potholes, blocked drains, overgrown trees, and school places.
Working with local groups I've been involved in litter picks; divesting the Council's pension fund from fossil fuels; improving cycle storage and electric vehicle charging; and festivals like Ecofest, Pride, Art in the Park, and the recent Lights of Leamington.
I care deeply about residents' concerns and will work hard to earn your support again.
