The Mayor of Royal Leamington Spa hosted the annual walk, in support of his mayoral charity,

On Tuesday 14 April, Mayor of Leamington, Cllr Ruggy Singh, hosted the walk to raise funds for Flourish, the chosen mayoral charity for the year, which supports girls in achieving their full potential.

This year's walk offered something a little different.

Led by Paula Fletcher, a long-standing member of the Guild of Guides and the Leamington History Group, the 90‑minute tour took participants on an engaging journey through several of the town's historic buildings that today house some of Leamington's favourite restaurants and cafés offering light bites.

Along the route, walkers heard stories about the buildings' origins, the businesses that once occupied them, and the vibrant food culture that now brings them to life.

With only 20 places available, the walk was an 'intimate and enjoyable experience blending heritage, community spirit, and charitable purpose.'

The Mayor said: "This event brings together two things Leamington does best —celebrating our rich local history and supporting those who help young people thrive.

"Flourish is doing vital work, and I'm delighted that this year's walk will help shine a light on their mission."

Funds raised will go directly to Flourish, supporting programmes that empower girls through mentoring, confidence building, and opportunities to grow.
