A multi-storey car park in Leamington has reopened after months of being partially closed.

The adjacent surface car park of Covent Garden Multi-Storey car park in the town has now fully reopened following its partial closure.

Work is still under way to bring the lower tiers of the former Covent Garden Multi-Storey car park back into public use.

The Covent Garden Surface Car Park is open 24 hours a day seven days a week and now has 89 regular spaces and 8 disabled bays, which is 15 more than previously.

Warwick District Council's Portfolio Holder for Neighbourhood, Cllr Will Roberts commented: "This centrally located car park is vital for local businesses and visitors to the town, I am therefore pleased to see the progress being made and look forward to seeing this much needed facility fully opened."

Deconstruction work at the car park began in July last year (2025).

The project's primary goal was to modify the height of the current structure to ensure its structural stability.

This adjustment was made to enable the reactivation of the car park's lower two levels for long-stay parking, anticipated to be in operation for the coming two to three years while long-term plans for the site are determined.
