Man charged with arson and other offences after fire at Leamington flats

A man has been charged and placed into custody for arson at a fire which occurred at a block of flats in Leamington.
The fire took place at Ashton Court on the evening of Saturday (30 August).
Warwickshire Police were alerted to a fire within the flats by colleagues at Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service.
The fire was reported to have been extinguished quickly.
A short time later, Tomasz Kuzma was arrested on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life.
Police reported, after a thorough investigation, Kuzma has now been charged with the following offences: Arson, recklessly endangering life, possession of cannabis and two counts of criminal damage.
He appeared in court, where he was remanded into custody ahead of a hearing later this month.
