A major road in Cubbington is set to face road closures and temporary traffic lights until mid-November as HS2 works continue on a new farm access.

A two-way traffic lights system will be in place from 17 to 26 October on A445 Leicester Lane.

This forms part of phase one in the HS2 works, which will allow the creation of a new farm access ahead of installing drainage works.

Phase two, which will begin on 26 October and last until 20 November, will see a further 24/7 road closure in place.

Works will also include a number of utility diversions and motorists can expect increased levels of construction activity in the area.

HS2 has confirmed there will be a signed diversion route in place andaccess for cyclists during phase one works.
