Residents have been asked to delay visits to several Household Waste Recycling Centres which are currently closed, including in Leamington.

The Princes Drive site, is one of three sites which closed following "very high attendance" over the weekend.

This is in addition to ongoing staff sickness.

Other sites are operating with limited services and may not have all waste streams available.

One of the closed sites was Burton Farm ib Stratford-upon-Avon, however this is now open.

A site in Wellesbourne remains closed.

Locals have been asked to wait until later in the week to visit the centres, when full services will be "resumed and sites are generally quieter."

The council shared: "We're sorry for any inconvenience caused by the temporary site closure.
