Local craft takes centre stage as 'Makers' Fair' returns to Leamington next month

Local residents are invited to discover and buy work from talented makers as the 'Spark Presents: Makers' Fair' returns to Leamington Spa next month.
Taking place from 10am to 3pm on Friday 13 March outside the Royal Spa Centre, the fair will showcase a vibrant mix of ceramics, illustrations, prints, textiles and gifts—each piece handmade by artists and craftspeople from across Warwick District.
The drop-in event is perfectly timed for lunchtime visitors and anyone looking to champion local creativity.
Now in its second year, the Makers' Fair forms part of 'Spark Presents', a Warwick District Council Arts Section programme which aims to support and celebrate the area's creative community.
Delivered in collaboration with Art in the Park Leamington, the event builds on last year's success in drawing new audiences and customers to local makers.
Cllr Ella Billiald, Portfolio Holder for Arts, Culture and Economy at Warwick District Council, said:"It's fantastic to see the 'Spark Presents: Makers' Fair/Art in the Park collaboration, returning for a second year, utilising the space outside the Royal Spa Centre.
"Events like this are a brilliant way to support our local creative community, helping artists and makers reach new audiences whilst adding a little magic to our town centres. It is a superb example of how culture can be part of everyday life in Leamington."

Kate Livingston, Director of Art in the Park, added:"This collaboration is a valuable opportunity for local artists and makers, particularly during the winter months when many of our programmes are quieter. Working with Warwick District Council on the 'Makers' Fair' allows us to support creatives at a different time of year and in a different setting, and it's been brilliant to see how positively people respond."
The 'Makers' Fair' is open to the public and free to attend. It forms part of a wider 'Spark Lite 2026' creative sector symposium event taking place on the day.
The free event is ticketed, with further details and booking information available via the Warwick District Council website.
