WHSmith in the Leamington centre is set for change as plans for new signage have been approved.

The current WHSmith signs will be replaced by the TGJones logo at the shop located on Parade.

This transformation follows WHSmith's recent sale of its high street stores in a transaction worth £76 million with Modella Capital, the company that owns Hobbycraft.

The agreement encompasses all 480 stores across the nation, including the WHSmith outlet on Market Street in Warwick.

WHSmith announced that this sale enables it to concentrate on its travel division.

The application submitted to Warwick District Council for the new signage indicates that none of the upcoming signs will be illuminated.

It stated that "these additions are very much in keeping with the character of the area and will have very little impact on the surrounding properties."

Additionally, the goods entrance will undergo modifications, with the signage changing from WHSmith to TGJones.
