A Leamington Spa town centre office block could be turned into flats if plans are approved by Warwick District Council.

Sahota Capital Investments has applied for permission to convert the building on Bedford Street into eight flats.

Plans show all the flats would have one bedroom each.

The application said the site does not have any off-street parking currently, and none will be provided as part of the development.

"The general principle of town centre residential uses is that they are acceptable without identified parking due to the sustainability of the location," the application said.

"It is noted that the site is located in a very sustainable location being in the town centre and close to the railway station, bus route services etc.

"Whilst there is no requirement for off street parking in connection with this development, off street parking is available in the vicinity."
