Leamington's only independent live theatre is launching an appeal for donations to fund its most significant capital project in over fifty years.

The Loft Theatre carries over a 104-year history and has been traditionally relied solely on its ticket sales for funding.

However, the theatre's current infrastructure, including its roof, heating, air-conditioning, and ventilating systems are now in 'urgent need of renewal.'

The project will go towards securing the infrastructure of the theatre, improving the comfort of audiences and volunteers, reducing its annual running costs.

There are also plans for it to become more environmentally friendly by switching to systems that run entirely on electricity, rather than the gas systems it is currently using.

The Loft shared: "We are hugely grateful for all the support we have received from audience members and volunteers throughout our history. Now, we hope you may be able to support our ambition to continue creating great theatre by making a donation towards the costs of this project."

Donations can be made here.
