Leamington park recognised with national award

A Leamington park is being celebrated after efforts by the Council to preserve it were recognised with a national award.

Warwick District Council celebrated national recognition for its long-standing partnership with idverde, after the Council's grounds maintenance partner won a prestigious British Association of Landscape Industries (BALI) National Landscape Award for its work at Jephson Gardens.

The Gardens have been maintained by idverde in partnership with the Council since 2013. During this time the combined teams have received consecutive Green Flag Awards and Green Heritage Site accreditations, reflecting the high standards achieved through careful management, horticultural excellence and conservation.

Timothy Mcgibbon, Contract Manager idverde UK (Warwick) commented: "We are immensely proud to receive this BALI National Landscape Award, particularly in the organisation's 50th anniversary year.

Cllr Will Roberts, Portfolio Holder for Neighbourhood at Warwick District Council added: "We are delighted that the idverde team in Warwick district has been recognised for this national award, which celebrates the care, expertise and pride that goes into caring for and maintaining Jephson Gardens.

"Jephson Gardens is a wonderful example of what can be achieved by skilled teams, strong client partnerships and a shared commitment to creating highquality public spaces for people and nature.

"This latest award recognises the skill and dedication of the idverde team and celebrates a successful partnership that continues to protect and enhance these

historic gardens for everyone to enjoy."
