By Nadia Sayed 19th Apr 2026
Community groups in Leamington are being encouraged to apply for a share of a £58,000 funding pot from the local council.
This is a significant increase compared to last year's funding, with an increase of around £10,000 this year.
In a grant workshop hosted by Leamington Town Council, 12 local community groups and charities were provided advice and guidance on completing their grant applications.
The event took place at the SYDNI Centre and held on Saturday 18 April.
The Mayor of Royal Leamington Spa said: "The workshop has been a great success, with many local groups seeking guidance and support to ensure they have the best possible chance of securing funding. It is very encouraging to see the number of local groups across Leamington Spa developing projects that will benefit and help our community.
"This year is particularly exciting with an increased funding pot compared to last year, meaning even more groups will benefit. Our first deadline is 15 May – please check our website for more details."
The workshop provided practical support on how to complete application forms effectively and better understand the funding criteria. The workshop aimed to help local groups submit high-quality applications for the Town Council's Community Grants Programme.
Eligible groups can apply for grants of up to £2,000 to support projects that benefit the town.
Deadlines for this funding round are:
· Friday 15 May
· Friday 14 August
· Friday 4 December
Further details are available on the Town Council's website.
