A Leamington community centre has been awarded a £30,000 grant to support its work in providing vital services for locals over the next two years.
The SYDNI Centre, located in Sydenham, was gifted the grant by the Garfield Weston Foundation, a family-founded grant-maker that donates money to support a wide range of charities across the UK.
The funds will enable the centre to support essential services, activities and opportunities for local people.
Established in 1997, SYDNI works alongside partner organisations to help people, particularly those who are vulnerable or in need, access support.
The centre also offers community activities, volunteering and work-experience opportunities, an affordable café, and accessible rooms for groups, training and events.
Sharing the news on Facebook, The SYDNI Centre team expresed they were "extremely grateful to the Garfield Weston Foundation for this generous commitment."
"Funding over two years gives us greater stability and will help us continue offering a friendly, trusted place where local people can connect, find support and take part in activities.
"This grant will make a real difference to our community."
