Leamington 18-year-old jailed after 18-month string of drug-related offences

An 18-year-old man from Leamington Spa has been sentenced to more than two years in a Young Offenders' Institution after admitting a string of drug offences spanning 18 months.
Adam Kaminski was first arrested in March 2023 on Clemens Street when police discovered wraps of white powder concealed inside his vape pen.
Two months later he was stopped again on Clapham Terrace and found carrying five wraps of suspected class A drugs.
In May 2024, officers responded to reports of a group acting anti-socially and using nitrous oxide canisters on a staircase in Kennedy Square.
On arrival, Kaminski was found in possession of ten bags of suspected cocaine, a phone, and several nitrous oxide nozzles.
Further searches recovered additional nitrous oxide canisters from the scene.
Detective Constable Gouled Dubad of the Serious Organised Crime Team said: "Kaminski's sentence acts as a deterrent to others and goes some way to reassuring the public we will thoroughly investigate all drugs activity so we can bring offenders to justice and continue to protect our communities."
A digital analysis of Kaminski's phone uncovered photos and videos of drugs, along with voice notes in which he told an unknown person to discard "a kilo of sniff."
Investigations found he was running the ADZ line, which was used to supply cocaine and crack.
In November 2024, officers from the Serious Organised Crime Team executed a warrant at a home in Sydenham, recovering an iPhone, more than £750 in cash, a hidden second phone and a quantity of concealed class A drugs.
Kaminski was charged with three counts of possession with intent to supply class A drugs (cocaine), two counts of possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of class A (crack cocaine), two counts of possessing nitrous oxide for wrongful inhalation and being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine and being concerned in supply of cocaine.
Having pleaded guilty to all charges at a previous court appearance, Kaminski was sentenced at Warwick Crown Court on Tuesday (13 May) to 26 months in a Young Offenders' Institution.
He was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge, forfeit the £753 in cash, and all drug-related equipment was destroyed.
