Drivers warned of overnight closure of busy commuter road near Leamington and Warwick

Drivers are being warned of an overnight road closure on a key commuter route between Leamington and Warwick.

Remedial resurfacing works are set to take place on the A425 Banbury Road in Leamington from tonight (Tuesday 1 September).

Warwickshire County Council contractors are due to return to the site today. to complete additional works at the junction of the A425 and Brooklime Road.

The road will be fully closed between 8pm and 6am on Tuesday 1 September while the surfacing works take place.

Wednesday 2 September has been set aside as a contingency date if the work cannot be completed on Tuesday night.

During the closure, resident access will be maintained via the A425 from the Warwick direction.

Access to the ASPS development will remain available throughout the works, with traffic management measures in place.

The works form part of remedial work being carried out on the A425 and Brooklime Road junction.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time for their journeys and follow the traffic management in place while the works are underway.
