The proposed closure of the Royal Pump Rooms, set to begin today ( 6 October) has been postponed.

This comes as Warwick District Council is progressing with essential roof repairs to the Grade II listed Royal Pump Rooms in Leamington Spa, with the support of significant funding from Arts Council England's MEND (Museum Estate and Development) programme.

Today's closure, which will now not go ahead, was the first of several others, put into place to safely install new Air Handling Units on the roof, where specialist lifting equipment will be required.

The postponement of the closure means the following services will remain open as usual: café, box office, Visitor Information Centre (VIC), and Leamington Spa Art Gallery & Museum.

However, the library will be closed for the day.

Warwick District Council has apologised for any inconvenience caused and thanks individuals for their understanding.
